Sometimes I like to go walking early in the morning right before sun rise. It's during this time that everything seems so alive for me... This song just makes me feel good. I couldn't think of a better way to start this CD.

Believe it or not, there are people that just don't know HOW to express their feelings sometimes. "The song in my heart left unspoken....trapped in the chains of my fear...." I can't tell you why that is, I just KNOW that it's true.

Sometimes we stay "STUCK" because we think we can't or shouldn't move on. I wrote this song during one of my strong moments. For I finally realized that life is way-too-short to stay in a circumstance that is just stupid! It was either move on or shrivel up... moving on is a good thing.

I'm sure, like me, many of you have had the experience of lying in bed, you can't sleep and then all of a sudden the mind chatter gets so loud, you think you are going crazy... It's like all your fears come alive....you feel utterly hopeless. This song is the result of one of those nights. 

10 Can You Hear Me

One night I had gone to the Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas, Texas, to hear The Turtle Creek Chorale perform. One song in particular was about the loss of  a loved one and how they wished they could still be with them. Even though I was deeply touched, to the point of tears, I found that I was getting somewhat angry. This sudden switch of emotion was very confusing to me. I then realized that I needed to get somewhere so I could write. Immediately after that song, I found myself sitting on the stairs just outside the doors to the auditorium. The lyrics to this song came through me in about 15 minutes, as did it's melody. May you be as comforted by this song as I was.
